We are supplementing our pre-recorded Pump Basics class with a quarterly in-person one for people who would like to learn and see their insulin pump options in person! This class is designed for those interested or planning on transitioning to an insulin pump.

The class will be held in the Wade Center on the 2nd floor of the CHOC clinic building at

After completion of this course, a physician review and RX is needed to start the Pre-Pump Class.

Listen to clinical presentations from CHOC Endocrinologists, watch hands-on demonstrations of Type 1 diabetes technology, and earn Continuing Education Units. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. Registration will begin August 1, 2024.

On Saturday, May 11, 2024, at the Hyatt Regency Resort in Huntington Beach, we will host our 33rd Annual Fashion Show Gala. The Fashion Show will feature our children and teens performing in an empowering event that celebrates imagination, strength, creativity, resilience, and the wonders of childhood, reflecting our theme "Fun in the Sun."  

Throughout the night, participants will showcase that even with Type 1 they can still find the fun in life, despite the daily obstacles they may face. Each model will also be displaying the latest fashions on the runway, compliments of Macy’s.

We invite you to join efforts with us as a sponsor of our 2024 Fashion Show Gala, our major fundraising event, which generates two-thirds of the income needed for the PADRE Foundation education and support programs.

Bring your family and friends out for a night of baseball to watch the Angels vs. Astros on Monday, May 8, 2023!

Tickets are sold out through PADRE Foundation but you can purchase tickets in or near our section with Angels Baseball.

We will all be sitting in Left Field Pavilion Section 259. Before the game we gather under the Big A to meet all the families, share stories, ask questions and enjoy some pre-game snacks. Hope to see you there.

This event is for teens living with Type 1 diabetes ages 13-18.

No experience necessary as you will be provided in-flight instruction as a Fighter Pilot Combat in the Sky and Rogue Racing Combat on the Track. After the excitement you will be rewarded with food, reflection and more fun. This is a team building activity to meet others and form some friendships.

The event is located at Flightdeck, Anaheim. You won’t want to miss this.
