Quarterly In-Person Caregivers Class
For those that care for children living with Type 1 diabetes. The class covers the basics of Type 1 diabetes management, high/low blood sugar intervention, and much more. This class is taught by CHOC clinical staff. This is an in-person class hosted quarterly on the CHOC campus in Orange at the PADRE office on the 4th floor at 455 S. Main St., Orange, CA 92868. PADRE Park Day
On April 5, from 10-1pm, come and enjoy a day at the park with the PADRE team and families living with Type 1 diabetes. Park Day is free, and will be held at Huntington Beach Central Park at Slater playground. Bring a lunch, lawn chairs, blankets, low snacks, and everything needed for a great day in the sun. Taking T1d to University Main Event on Zoom
Come join CHOC Diabetes Transition Program, along with PADRE, at the Main Event-Taking T1d to University. This educational event is for prospective college students, and their caregivers, to help them navigate this next season of life.

Join us at our Pump Basics class in-person one for people who would like to learn and see their insulin pump options in person! This class is designed for those interested or planning on transitioning to an insulin pump.

After completion of this course, a physician review and RX is needed to start the Pre-Pump Class.

Fashion Show Gala 2025
On Saturday, May 10, 2025, at the Hyatt Regency Resort in Huntington Beach, we will host our 40th Anniversary & Fashion Show Gala. The Fashion Show will feature our children and teens performing in an empowering event that celebrates imagination, strength, creativity, resilience, and the wonders of childhood, reflecting our theme “Celebrate, 40 years of PADRE”.
Throughout the night we will embark on a journey through key moments and achievements, highlighting the past, present and future of the PADRE Foundation. We will celebrate every milestone and positive impact PADRE has made in the Type 1 diabetes community through the decades. During the show, each model will confidently take the runway, showcasing the latest stylish and trendsetting fashions, all generously provided by Macy’s.
We invite you to us as at PADRE’s 40th Anniversary & Fashion Show Gala, our major fundraising event, which generates two-thirds of the income needed for the PADRE Foundation education and support programs.

Angels Game
Come on out to the Ballpark for our Annual Angels Game. Join the PADRE team and watch the Los Angeles Angels take on the New York Yankees. Tickets are $15 per person and are available for purchase by clicking the link below.
We will gather under the Big A for some tailgating fun with games, snacks, and meet other kids and families living with T1d before the game.

20th Annual Turf & Surf Golf Tournament
Join the PADRE Foundation and support children living with Type 1 diabetes all while playing a round of golf at The Huntington Club in Huntington Beach. On Monday, July 21, 2025 enjoy a great day of friends, fairways, and food all while supporting a great cause!

Come join us and get a hands on experience when it comes to counting carbs! Lets us help make meal planning easier by balancing the carbohydrates you eat with insulin and exercise. This class will be geared for newly diagnosed patients and those who need a refresher.

Riding the Wave of Type 1 Diabetes

Parents, grandparents, and teens affected by Type 1 diabetes: we know how hard living with Type 1 diabetes can be, and we've organized a one-of-a-kind event to address feelings you may be experiencing. Take a few hours to reset and connect with others on this T1d journey while listening to an impactful speaker.

Fashion Show 2025 Photoshoot Cast Call
Join us in celebrating our 40th Anniversary of the PADRE Foundation at this year’s Fashion Show Gala. This is a great opportunity to make connections, see old friends, raise funds, and have a blast while doing so! If your child, or teen, is interested in participating in the May 10th show, please register using the form below.

The PADRE Team will be there from 11am-2pm and we can’t wait to see you!

Angel Game Family Night
Bring your family and friends out for a night of baseball to watch the Angels vs. Astros on Monday, May 8, 2023!

Teen Event at Flightdeck
This event is for teens living with Type 1 diabetes ages 13-18.
No experience necessary as you will be provided in-flight instruction as a Fighter Pilot Combat in the Sky and Rogue Racing Combat on the Track. After the excitement you will be rewarded with food, reflection and more fun. This is a team building activity to meet others and form some friendships.
The event is located at Flightdeck, Anaheim. You won’t want to miss this.

This is a special event for families of children with Type 1 diabetes and Celiac disease. We will have an information session led by a Certified Dietician and an Endocrinologist to speak on celiac. There will also be samples to taste and handouts with food suggestions!
