S.M.A.R.T.I.E.S
S.M.A.R.T.I.E.S. is a special class that provides education to the newly diagnosed Type 1 diabetics and their families. Here you will learn about the basic skills and principles of safely managing T1d as a follow up to the hospital education. This class is taught by CHOC RN/CDE clinical staff.
Caregivers
This class was created for those that care for children living with Type 1 diabetes. The class covers the basics of Type 1 diabetes management, high/low blood sugar intervention, and much more. This class is taught by CHOC clinical staff.
Pump Basics
This course is designed for those interested or planning on transitioning to an insulin pump. This class provides in depth details about each pump manufacture available. *After completion of this course, a physician review, and RX is needed to start the Pre-Pump Class.
